The wait is finally over.

This morning at 11:40am my new iPhone 6 was delivered. Thank you to Virgin Mobile Australia for being so prompted with their deliveries this time round.

Things that stood out:

-The box in comes in doesn't have a picture of the phone on the front as it usually does (See below).

-I highly recommend the iPhone 6 if you have smaller hands like i do.

-IOS 8 update has added several new features to the phone, new design for viewing, new scroll menu and easier access to multiple apps on your phone.

-Improvements in speed and response

-Very light and thin

-Lock button on the side is very well designed and thought of as the phone is longer than others before.

Tips for driving in Europe

Driving in another country and on the opposite side of the road can be more tricky than you might think. Before you travel abroad, have a read of these 10 tips to help you survive.

1. Use a GPS - if all else fails, buy a few road maps from the nearest souvenir shop or news agency.

2. Always stay in your lane when turning corners - always a good tip when driving on the opposite side of the road.

3. Keep in the right left unless overtaking - most cars will tailgate and beep at you instead of over taking you on the right if you are in the wrong lane.

4. Have a good-looking navigator ride shot gun and keep any eye on which directions to take and your fatigue level. BONUS TIP: They can also feed you snacks and hand you drinks.

5. Take regular breaks - sitting in the monotonous drivers seat for hours on end can be very tiring and even deadly. This one goes without saying - use your common sense.

6. Play games in the car to keep your mind alert and kill your boredom at the same time.

7. If a hire car company stuffs you around, don't just take it - klick and scream till someone confesses that they speak English (more people than you might think).

8. Double check where you park - more often than not you find out about the parking restrictions after the fine!

9. Double check your car is safe to drive and had a full tank of petrol - again, plain old common sense.

10. Don't forget to organise insurance.

One of the worlds best airports and its open 24 hours a day.

Dubai International airport has to be one of my favourite airports in the world. Not only does it have food, alcohol and duty free shopping but it is one of the most sophisticated and well run airports in the world. At times feeling more like a hotel bar/lobby than a busy airport. The best part is that Duty free is open 24 hours a day.

If we think of the UAE we think of a very strict and traditional countries. The laws and values practiced in the cities are exempt from the international airport. Whilst at the airport couples were holding hands, kissing and people were wearing provocative clothing. Although this maybe allowed we should all practice good manners and respects the values and traditions of different cultures.

The modern technology assistance within the airport makes the transition from terminal to terminal easier and stress free. Also all staff seemed to be strong English speakers and were willing to help us find our way.
